There is obviously someone the club has in mind if said article about keppie is true. Key word being IF. Isn't a Moses player either I don't believe.

In the past 4 seasons he has played over 10 games once and that was in the 2021 season. He has also managed to burn ties with both of his last two clubs.

So we have an unreliable player who is spending more than half his time off the park combined with some clear off the park issues when he has been basically escorted away from his previous two clubs.

Not enough for you? Well then lets compare him to the forum whipping boy Woods

Woods 96.4%, Lodge 92%

Run Mtrs

Hard to gauge but Lodge appears to be slightly ahead

Overall there is little difference between the two for this year however Woods has never had a season where he has played less than 12 games.

So in summary I can not see the upside for Lodge and that is not even getting into the New York stuff

That was the final act of a long list of reasons they wanted him out the door

The exit of his father in law from the club wasn’t amicable and Lodge was his normal self after that

TPJ adds a lot of x factor, he's an habitual off loader who can suck in defenders and make space for the backs to exploit. He Just needs to work out when to just hit up and when to offload. He's a game changer on his day no doubt. If the price is right I'd take him.

The argument is why not be proactive and invest the money in the cap with another player on the way up instead of paying the pension to player on the way down that could not get starting spot in his previous 2 clubs the sharks and the dragons.......... years ago .

Don’t want to sign Lodge, but to a lesser degree I don’t want us to sign woods either not even on unders. Lovely guy but would prefer him influencing off the field, not on it. His best days are long behind him we do need some real grunt in the forwards, but certainly not Lodge even if he was still at his best….
