Can anyone clarify exactly how the structure works and where it's up to?

I get that Tooves is Head Coach and Donny Singe conditioning coach.
Then Andrew Johns was halves coach - is he continuing?
Is there then a backs coach and a forwards coach?
Heard nothing about them last year apart from the appointment of Steve Georgallis? (Heard more mentions of Brad Arthur while he was there).

Or is there some sort of tactician person - ie the guy who runs around with the laptop in the dressing room at half time?

Would love to know from someone who knows.

Fact is Brown is a more experienced coach than Toovey. In years of coaching.

Co-coaches?

Ricky Stuart has coached Australia, NSW, and won a premiership as a coach.
Stuart has one extra year of coaching than Brown has.
Very, very, experienced in years of coaching and rep sides.
Would you have him?

I rather have Tooves any day.
He bleeds maroon and white and loves our club with a passion.
That works more for me. :)

I heard Brett Kimmorley's name mentioned the other day in relation to being an assistant coach at Manly.

That's the day I'd consider handing my membership back.

Sign Brown on the condition he brings 2 heart eating, rampaging big front rowers with him.

Fair point. But we wouldn't ask Ricky to be assistant would we?

Just curious as to the strategy. However having an experienced coach on board will help everyone all round.

I'd love to see what would happen if he slapped Matai?

If we have a playing group and a board who may be a little bit split. Lets just hope all and sundry at our club are very much united behind our little champion of a coach. Brown has just won the ESL, It's no secret he wants a top grade coaching gig. Lets hope the environment is not cherry ripe for a Neil Henry style mutiny. Only a few weeks back there was an article which said, "If the Penns had full control Des would still be at Brookvale." Not sure why our board would care to mention Des after the year that has been. I really question if Brown is the right fit for us/ right now!!!!!! If you know what I mean.

I hear what you're saying, but we need to look past personalities and get the best available. If there is someone else available that has better current credentials and they are available then I can't name them.

Go for the best available and manage the people issues actively.

@Ralphie I see Jason Demetriou as the perfect assistant. He was in the UK only a few years ago. Similarly has been in the winners circle and has a proven ability at success both on and off the field. But coming from he QCUP someone humble enough to bide his time before taking a top spot in the NRL.
