Manly v Knights pre-game discussion Round 14

I think Brown should start and take the early defence.
I like Brown taking ten before half and then the opening 10 in the 2nd,those are important minutes in the match when strong defence is needed. And also keeps Hastings attacking early in the first half when it generally seems that is when the whole teams attack is clicking.

Should ( big word that) be a cricket score.

We also need that to keep improving the F/A, 38-4 sounds good to me!

Winning 2 golden point games, after years of always losing them, shows mental toughness.

Now Manly need to overcome the complacency factor when playing 'easy beat' Teams :wait:

Ross, Gagai will test our flanks @

Better name Mods (or young Turbo).

In past years these games would often loom as " danger games", I have a feeling that won't happen this year, they'll know a big win , followed by the Bye sets them up nicely for the run home.

Win big Eagles!

Lane is a powerful runner of the footy and personally pretty happy when we signed him, not sure if its an attitude thing due to playing reggies, but very lazy in defence....an area the team has excelled in 2017....THIS, is the reason he is down in the pecking order.

I actually thought he tackled well on Sunday but had no impact in attack.

I'd like to have money on him naming Jono Wright on the wing - this is surely the cover he was brought in to provide ?? As much as we were all scratching our heads with his signing this must be his chance.

Danger game this - most of our rivals around us on the ladder ( or the ones who threaten to catch us ) play each other ( Raiders/Panthers .....Eels/Cowboys ) so its huge chance to pinch a break heading into the bye ).

He aimed up when they ran straight at him and tackled like a bloke his size should, problem was lack of urgency on trailing to close down his gate, both inside and out....1 in particular from 10m out where the opposition fullback supported an obvious inside ball and Lane didn't jam in to close it down, agree his attacking energy also lacked on Sunday, but feel in first grade his attack will lift.

Drugcastle have just as many injuries as us. Buhrer may be back for them which will hurt to watch

All though we should smoke these blokes , these are the games i worry more about then say playing Melbourne. Turn up without getting complacent and the 2 points come our way.

Not having Jono Wright and Parker named in lower grades. I think you'll find Turbo will be named in at 4pm.
