Manly v Penrith Round 20, 2018 - Pre Game

The Peach is a super instinctive player, but at fullback could be a good target...not the biggest bloke and if Tom can challenge some high balls, could reap a few rewards.
Good to see Walker back also, a bit of spark out wide is long overdue....

Doubt it, previously he has been a slow returner, each week getting better but it takes him a month to get back to full fitness and confidence
Have to disagree there
Im surprised people on here just don't get it ! Walkz aggression is what's missing in this gutless team .
We all witnessed how far passive aggressors got us ,they just sit back and wait to get attacked.
This is why I was less confident the Turbos and Dce could get us the win against the Roosters and it proved to be the case........they're passive aggressors full stop.

I believe the old adage that the best defence is ATTACK !!..the Tigers proved it.
IMO Walkz return from injury last year having missed a whole pre-season,his absence, then starting late following limited training (should have played Blacktown) actually stuffed our prospects up this season.

I'm totally confident we'll win against the Panthers this week , we have always had a dependable platform especially with Taupau,Jake and Fanua driving our forwards.
The role of Dce and Turbo as finesse type players will be the perfect blend for Walkz aggression ...everyone will lift ...that's my take on it

Riff were called in on their day off for extra drills due to their last round loss :wait:

Baz should be following Hook's tough love :nerd:
In the old days after a loss like last weekend the coach would throw away the ball and bring out the tackling bags for the whole week

What do we think Barrett is doing with the team this weeK? Working out the quickest route to drive from the gong to the riff?

seems many missed that Parker got moved to centre during the game to try and stop the bad calls made by Suli but by then we were down by 30.
There’s just no possible way anyone can talk up Brad Parker, or come up with some insipid excuse about his performances. So far this season we’ve seen him fall over the tryline and bomb the most basic of try’s. Trip over when DCE has placed a perfect kick to his corner. Get run through, past and around while playing on the wing, and many other examples of not being up to standard. He’s is very limited skill wise, doesn’t have a lot of pace, is unathletic compared to just about every other winger in the game. And his one saving grace... defence, has also gone out the window. He’s an absolute liability and shouldn’t be in the side.

Thank you. This is what I have been thinking about Parker for 2 years. He is just not first grade standard.

No speed, next to no discernible skills, no athleticism, poor hands and relatively poor defence. The guy is flat out staying upright on two feet most of the time.

About the best thing I have ever seen him do in a Manly jumper was that bomb he took running at pace on Sunday (well, pace is the wrong word. He was at least running). Other than that I can not for the life of me figure out how he has played first grade.

He's played mostly wing and centre for Manly, though some have suggested a move to the back row. Personally I don't think he's tough enough for the forwards and as a three-quarter.....I can't think of one other NRL team that would have him in their squad even as a first or second drop for backline injuries.

Yeah... I thought he might be ok in the beginning because there were wraps on him and he’s a local junior. Agree with everything you posted. He also makes bigger all metres when takingva hit when we’re in our own end, he literally gets monstered, so I don’t know what sort of impact he’d have as an edge forward. People keep saying that he’s going to grow, but his been around 93kg for the past two years/“.
