The facts are hardly compelling … lawyer would eat this up.
20mins of exercise in mid 20’s temp (not withstanding wet bulb - player comfort factors) is not anywhere near excessive. Mitigating circumstances for the club include, Perrett’s previous evening hydration routine, morning player prep factors on way to training ie pre session hydration for 2hrs plus prior, issues not disclosed with flu etc.. medication eg antidiuretic hormone for weight loss… which impact thermotegulation. Clubs weigh players prior to and after training and matches, know examples where a player was not permitted to leave the sheds until he hydrated to pre game weight…. Case looks flimsy.
Absolutely 100% clear, not having a drink at 20mins into a session is not life threatening. Had 3yrs 2014 -2016 pre season experience as a first grader, previous pre season training over x years (Dogs etc) sport science and nutrition advice etc… didn’t he have a pre season with broncos too in 2019. Hot humid Brisbane is a great move for heat intolerant middle forward??? please - can’t find a job, so might be looking for cash.
