Lloyd perrett

Well he won't get that, he might get nothing, I imagine whoever was our insurer at the time will have to sort it out.
Insurance will not cover if there is any suggestion of negligence on the part of the coaching staff. There are several high profile "no win-no fee" lawyers out there who would take the gamble on this and represent Lloyd. Given what's happened at the club and given how hard NRL players are flogged in training and particularly pre-season, it's probably a good bet. Will definitely get the attention of the owners as it will definitely come out of their pocket.

Interesting expose on class actions last nite on Four Corners. Lawyers and 'class action investors' end up with around half of the judgment - many $millions - while the rest is shared between 1000s of class members.
Corrupt system (which will probably shock no-one)

This whole situation is going to be a massive issue for clubs moving forward in terms of the pre season training requirements. In some ways it is good and in some ways it is potentially bad.

From my perspective, it basically means 'The big boppers' will be relieved of some hard endurance training and will probably have to focus more on strength in the gym, rather than running massive kms. Given the 'Big Boppers' typically only play 40 minutes each game, with a 20 to 40 minute interval between each stint, I have no issue with it. They are impact players over short stints and the clubs have to adapt suitable training strategies to cope with that.

Or, just let them have a drink of water?

this is why he was a fat cnt forward because he was a lazy fat sht... fk him i hope he loses , didn't do anything for this team or any other team either so he can go and gt fkt how about that ...

Considering the state of sport science even accounting for it being in 2017 (also on how to effectively build a team etc) I can not believe any professional team would use water as a leverage tool for professional athletes.

The facts are hardly compelling … lawyer would eat this up.

20mins of exercise in mid 20’s temp (not withstanding wet bulb - player comfort factors) is not anywhere near excessive. Mitigating circumstances for the club include, Perrett’s previous evening hydration routine, morning player prep factors on way to training ie pre session hydration for 2hrs plus prior, issues not disclosed with flu etc.. medication eg antidiuretic hormone for weight loss… which impact thermoregulation. Clubs weigh players prior to and after training and matches, know examples where a player was not permitted to leave the sheds until he hydrated to pre game weight…. Case looks flimsy.

Absolutely 100% clear, not having a drink at 20mins into a session is not life threatening. Had 3yrs 2014 -2016 pre season experience as a first grader, previous pre season training over x years (Dogs etc) sport science and nutrition advice etc… didn’t he have a pre season with broncos too in 2019. Hot humid Brisbane is a great move for heat intolerant middle forward??? please - can’t find a job, so might be looking for cash.

Hear all that, but still hard to believe a pro sports trainer is withholding water as some sort of resilience test. If that has been reported correctly.
