I grew up watching the Amco Cup. Teams runnign out with half a reserve grade team, players playing out of position. I'm ready, let's go Eagles. The Roosters are cocky, listen to their coach who wants to be a part of it but says he does it the right way. Sure the bookies have wiped us. At least I am hopefully and expect an effort from our players.

I’m looking forward to the rookies coming in and playing. They may well have a blinder.

I am also not holding anything against the 7. It’s their personal choice and it needs to be respected. The pressure they are under from their families is far more than playing 80 minutes. They would have got more backlash from their communities if they played.

It’s the management that are to blame for this shambles. They have known for months and didn’t once let the coaching staff or players know, except for those that did the photoshoot.

Looking at the draw we have left and I can only see us winning one against the raiders. We won’t be playing finals this season which is disappointing. At full strength we had a shot at top four.

The Panthers have a great system and played without 7 rep stars and just beat the lowly Tigers. The Roosters are a much more formidable side. The upside is we have a decent spine (with only Tommy missing). Even with the infamous 7, we were going to have to play an outstanding game to win. Without them, I give us no chance. However, I will be proud of the team regardless.
