Good on Marty!! He would be on very good money so it would be easy to say he’ll be fine with his contract money but what that article shows is mentally he wants to be the best person he can be, for himself and his family. He is the best prop in the game and that hasn’t dropped off. That’s the sort of player you want to be a leader in the fwd pack for the young guys coming through.

Not sure how many truly great players of our game had this as their pre-match ritual.

Matai was one of the best centres ever to wear our jersey so if you are trying to say that Marty or Skivvy are soft have a look at a few of the clips of Matai flattening fwds a lot bigger than him.

Marty is still in the elite class of props atm so he can do as he pleases with his hair because his metres and offloads in games is where he does his talking.

Not sure it makes any difference. I would suggest that it is a visualisation / focus time for him before a game....but yeah real "men" should not be doing their hair
