Hi guys,

I have read your comments regarding advertising membership in regional areas.

Please be assured we are looking at ways we can get the message out there to those who aren't technology savvy. Unfortunately these exercises are fairly costly when compared to posting information on social media, or utilising the NRL's advertising campaigns.

Thanks for all your feedback. Hopefully we can make some improvements to get the message out there to as many Manly fans as possible. Remember, our best way of spreading the word is through you guys. Word of mouth is just as important as flashy advertising campaigns!

Anyway.... It's great to hear members really wanting to help out membership wise. I too was one who didn't know about memberships in general. The $65 one was perfect for me this year as I'm o/s. I didnt join the f.c as I just didn't realise what it was about. I'd still join now if I knew how to do it from here.

As for advertising, I remember from my days in the northern rivers area...tv wasn't to prohibitive. It's be good to get some of our members to do a basic tv ad. [e.g. 2011...earn your wings. "I'm a member" - with shots of actual members etc]. I remember reading how some members on here have mucho $$$ but we cant ask them to bankroll ads (a pity).

So I guess as has been already said, it's up to all of us to encourage people to renew or join. The club does a good job with the phone recordings of players asking us to renew. Maybe at training days volunteers could rome around and ask people to join up.

Ahhh I guess now I'm just rambling, that's what the cold does.

Great idea Clint, inexpensive as well. My son is currently in Afghanistan and I will ask him to get a photo in his Manly Jersey and post it here when I get it. Perhaps the Manly Club website could allocate some space for people to add the photos, of course under scrutiny we dont want any naughty ones, do we?

Thanks for that. It seems that when I use IE the updated number appears but with Firefox it still shows 4583.

The other forum is leagueunlimited, just a place for fans of different teams to abuse each other and talk rubbish.
