Make Manly Great Again #Hasler2019
Just thinking about the coaches we have had since I’ve been following manly (can only remember from 1981) makes interesting reading

Ray Ritchie 81 & 82 finals one year losing gf the next only to be replaced by Fulton. (Sacked)

Bob Fulton 83-88
GF, 5th, 6th, 5th, Premiership, 5th (resigned)

Alan Thompson 89 missed top 5 finals (sacked)

Graham Lowe 90-92
4th, 4th missed the top 5 finals (resigned poor health)

Fulton 93-mid 99
5th, 5th Gf Gf premierships 10th (top 10 finals (missed top 8 resigned mid year)

Peter Sharp (contract not renewed)
99 02-03
Missed finals in 99 Fulton’s season, 02 9th,15th

Des Hasler 04-11 (sacked up signing with dogs)
missed 8, 8th, 5th, Gf premiership, 5th, 8th premiership

Geoff toovey 12-15 sacked
Grand final qualifier, GF, week 2 finals, 9th

Barrett 15-18
13th, week 1 finals, bottom 4 at best

It grates my gears how blokes who have played for the club and are manly men haven’t been given the same latitude our current coach has.

Ray Richie lost a GF to that great Parramatta side and lost his job

Alan Thompson had one season and was punted

Toovey has one bad season and was punted.

Yet this bloke has had one half decent year and could yet lead us to our first ever spoon something I know as fans we wear with pride the fact in 70 years we have never come last. Yet there is no talk about cutting free this dead wood.

All we are hearing is let’s get help in for Trent, where was thomos help, help for tooves or Ray Richie.

I know why there was no help for thomo or Richie because the club used to lead by men that wanted results or there WAs consequences. Real leaders like Arko and Doug Daley. Not the muppets and blow ins we have now.

I don't know if I can even blame Toovey for the 9th in his final season. From memory The Penn's took over responsibility for recruiting and coaching staff at the end of the previous season. They set him up to fail.

Richie, Thompson and Tooves were shafted.
Richie for bozo and the other two legends for reasons best known to themselves.
I just can't be bothered going into those reasons again.
The only one that worked out was bozo.
But for the others, in not getting a fair go well never know.
But I'll bet my jewellery it would be better than the current side show.
