I'd welcome William back in a heartbeat. It's amazing what coming home does to a person.

Sure, he left for the money but, he was supporting his family financially and that's a cultural thing that unless your are an islander or Asian, you may find hard to comprehend.

If Will comes back, he goes to Centre and Kelly to wing and we'll have one of the most dangerous backlines in the premiership plus ... I'd tip Kelly to be the highest try scorer for the season as Will has a wonderful offload and if it happens, Kelly will be the goal kicker.

Wishful thinking maybe, but I'd like to see him back and I'd like all the Hoppa's to stay. We could end up with 4 Hoppas and 3 Trbojevic's in the team. How good would that be?

Will Hoppa would be a great signing. He's reliable, and although we keep saying how's he's played poorly since leaving us I reckon he was actually pretty decent this year in a shizenhousen Bulldogs team. If we've already got thompson he's just what we need to ensure we are a bullet proof force again

Will shouldnt be playing full back. He has a centres skill but is too slow off the mark for full back. His skill is his distributing skills. Mind you I think Kelly may surprise with his silky skills next year. And where does that leave the next star in the making Tom Wright.

If Hoppa comes, None. He needs more time. In a year or two he'll be ready to take Uate's position provided uate retires, if not, if he's good enough he'll make his position his own. He showed potential this year, although failed to engrave his name into that centre position

Don't forget about the speedsters in our NYC premiership winning team . In a year or two they could be anything with their blistering pace and skills they exhibited this year .

Harry I have to disagree. I think Kelly in only his first year in League did an outstanding job. he had a lapse mid season (not at all surprising for a first year player) and came back with a bang. The kid has silky skills and by next year could be rep standard

Good point. Although I think if we are thinking about a premiership we are thinking about good defence, if we can get both Thompson and Hoppa, our two weakest defencive areas should become some of our strongest. A balance of speed, power, grit and defence. We have our speedsters, Hoppa isn't the fastest, although isn't a slouch, and he may bring out the best in some of our speedsters and help tutor Tommy Trbo. Hope we land him

They were times when I loved him, times when I didn't. My opinion on him constantly changes. For now, I think it'd be best for manly to acquire the services of Hoppa. He'll still get his chance throughout the year, especially if Walker is out for a while.

Later on i'll probably just contradict myself on Kelly, so just prepare

That could be an issue, if it's reasonable or slightly overs, i'm happy, but if it's as ridiculous as some of the back ended contracts at canterbury i'd prefer not. Surely he wouldn't be that expensive, being a centre

When he left us at the end of the 2011 winning grand final , Parra signed him for about $700 grand a year . He would not have left the eels to go to the Dogs for less ? How much would our club pay for him ?

I reckon 450K is max, maybe 500K at 100% tops, anywhere below 400K would be really good. although i'm not too sure of the regular centre contract

He actually signed (shockingly) with the dogs for 150K a year when he left the squeals (probably desperate to leave that ****hole), although recently re-signed this year for more

I'm not sure about hoppa he has been pretty bad since leaving us but did have some good games for the dogs towards end of season. probably better than Kelly in the center position and can cover wing and fb also. for the right price I'd take him back.. He needs to work on his speed he was fast before not like Stewart fast but he's just slower than before.

Dont want Hoppa anymore. If he comes he wont be an upgrade on Kelly plus Hoppa has no speed whatsoever. Good skills but nothing else. Wont come any cheaper than 600k either and that is way to much for a has been. If we sign someone like Flopoate we are going backwards big time.
