I get it but unless the e player rules himself out the chance of getting injured may not hold up as an excuse

As a manly fan I get it but can you really tell players that should not play as there is a chance they will get injured (also knowing this will blow up in my face when he gets injured!)

Yeah, I'm comfortable saying that.

He finished the year injured, carrying a corked knee(?), obviously well below 100% with the shoulder, after coming back from plenty of weeks off this season, following on from the years of hammy and shoulder issues.

I'm damn comfortable putting Tommy into cotton wool until March.

Especially considering the Ponga stance/reversal that resulted in his non-selection.

There are a lot of guys injured/ overlooked this time.
Haas,Tino,Flegler,Gilbert,DCE, Munster,Mitchell,Teddy,Crighton,To'o,Ola,Hynes,Holmes,Leniu,Ponga,Cobbo,Walsh,Nanai,Tualagi,Fifita.
I wonder if Mal has overlooked some of the Tongan and Samoan guys or if they have declared to not play for Oz?
Should make for some good sides in the cup.
If you have got the Saifiti twins,Kikau,API etc...playing then the Pasifika sides should be pretty decent.

That’s so mean. Based on nothing. His shoulder injury was a 4 week one. He played with a needle after one week then again a second week. It is probably ok now. He clearly put manly first.

Dally M point are highly geared towards attacking players though, and certainly helps Ponga, Turbo, DCE and co when the attack revolves around them.

Dylan Edwards and Harry Grant do a lot of the grunt work too, let alone a lot of good 2nd rowers

Congratulations to Turbo on getting selected, the calls above of Turbo being selfish are a bit harsh due to what happened recently with Turbo requesting a remuneration cut with the NRL.

A rugby league career doesn’t go forever and you can’t deny a player that has been passed fit by the club to represent his country.
