NRL Games [Round 4, 2025]

Take back what I said about the Sharks. Full strength gummies , they're not winning any premierships.

Just an aside - I just watched Seibs pre game presser and he mentioned Gene Ngamu as being one of the groundsman that looks after Brookie. Does anyone know if that's the same Gene Ngamu that played for us way back when?

Yeah i noticed that as well. I would assume the same bloke as its a pretty uncommon name. Played a bit of 6 and maybe centre a kiwi.

Dr Google found ex Kiwi international Gene Ngamu being involved with Manly Oval, so it probably is him at Brookie.

Thank you to former Kiwis league international Gene Ngamu who, as the Green Options Landscape Management lead groundsman at Manly Oval, played a crucial role in supporting our club tour to Sydney by providing first-class facilities.

Far out it feels good to win some games again so proud of the boys effort without our superstars!
Congratulations to your Bulldog Boys
They defied the odds
You won against the favoured team
You beat them on their home ground
You beat them without two of your biggest stars

I noticed Seibs praising him too and with a name like Gene Ngamu, I'd be shocked if he wasn't. Having since researched him it seems he's a curator, so yes he's the same guy who played for us in 1992-3.

Ciraldo can certainly coach, the Dogs look to be the real deal this year.
He over achieved last year when he took his Mongrels to 6th spot
This year he has his team playing consistent footy and the only undefeated team in the comp

Thanks Bozo
Much appreciated brother
I have tipped your Eagles tommorow to win 13+
Best of Luck

Cirldo has done well and he deserves credit, since Ciraldo and Seibold took over as head coaches in 2023 of their respective clubs Seibold has the better win percentage.

Would you say they have both done well??

Yet again the greatest myth in rugby league is disprovan.

Gotta have a strong spine they all say. Well the Dogs tonight barely have a first grader.

Connor Tracey
Toby Sexton
Bailey Hayward
Reed Mahoney

No there not superstars, but they are workaholics, the whole sides work ethic with and especially without the ball is awesome, I’d be happy without any superstars if we had a side full of workers, they certainly earn’t the 2 points tonight.

It’s a footy tippers nightmare this weekend

I’m 2/6 so far

And I’ve picked Manly & Wests so have a feeling it’ll be 2/8 coming up

I think what all the results prove from this round especially is that every premiership favourite is beatable this year and it's anyone's chance to win the grand final. We definitely have a chance if we can hold it together and play some good footy without all the DCE distraction. It May play out differently though when DCE is announced as the rorters new half back as im sure some players will be two and two together but lets hope we can end up winning most games this season and possibly finish as premiers!

That's why it's so important to make the top 4. The Premiership is well and truely up for grabs in 2025. By all counts this season really is our Premiership window.
