Other Games - Round 19, 2018

Why can't we defend like the tigers.

It's not as if there full of superstars.
Man for man we have a team that is better then theirs .
You have to give credit to their conductor Cleary that gets them all playing in fine tune as one

If JT was a horse, he'd be in the knackery by now. Someone put him out of his misery.

Saw the same thing in 1995, Terry Lamb won the GF with the Bulldogs and announced his retirement at the SFS accepting the trophy.

Then changed his mind, came back for 1996 and was absolute **** all year!!

Ditto Thurston ( except he didn’t announce his retirement) , should of pulled the pin in 2017.

In my opinion their back line and bench deadset kills ours.

Granted we have more "stars" but their 30 man squad is full much stronger.

They look like they have an actual game plan. Last night the centres and wingers done 80% of the hit ups in the first 30 minutes. That speed around the ruck had Souths big pack on the back foot from the outset.

We could never come up with that, nor do we have the players who could carry it out.

Masters could be a superstar. Already an international at age 21. He was brilliant last night.

Completely agree we look pedestrian, however Killer and Skivvi were hardly speed merchants. Much smarter players I grant that.

Until his last couple of injury riddled years.....Killer did have some toe and scored a number of long range tries for Manly.

Looked bad in real time but it was around the shoulders. I think if he challenges it he'll be safe.

Agreed, I've seen far worse than that let go and not even get penalised let alone put on report.

However, if that was Kapow the next time we'd see him in a Manly jumper would be 2019.

Guys, something I'm noticing with the other games, but I feel a large difference between the good teams, and ours is play-the-ball speed.

The good teams play almost touch football like speed, keeping the opposition D, constantly rolling back.

That's why in attack, we always seem to be playing against a set defense. We then don't attain offside penalties. It's a cumulative affect.

Play-the-ball speed is a symptom of attitude, fitness and intensity.

Get that right alone, I think we'd be much better off.

Love people's thought's on that? Maybe I'm completely wrong. Hehehe.

Storm not really having a go.

Happy to see the Warriors make the 8 and kill off any chance the Tigers have of making the 8.

I would prefer the Tigers make it actually. Except when they are playing us, I have a soft spot for them as my dad was a life long Balmain fan.

This game is a joke. Brenton Speed calling some of the dodgy calls, but all let go.Then you get Blocker the bone head pissing in Storms pocket.

There you go storm - have a nice game winning penalty right at the end because one of the warriors was half an inch in front of the ref. Then ignore an obvious penalty against storm on the re-start. Another game decided by the ref.

Scripted I tell ya!!

Almost guarantee the Storm will be in the GF and probably win it , with Scam and Studs First announcing their retirements together on stage.

And just imagine the jizz fest on Chan Nein.

It’s just so transparent today, everyone can see it, all the 50/50 calls and close games go to a select few teams.
