Totally agree. On the last play leading up to the try forward passes should also come under video ref scrutiny.

Just make forward passes like the review in test cricket - only overturn the on-field decision if there is compelling evidence. 

The touch and go ones will stay with what the original decision was, when it goes 5m forward that will get pulled up.

Wasn't there a thought about having the coach from both sides having a couple of appeal rights throughout the game?  I thought Des was in favour.  He would have used one on Sunday against the forward pass.
