I'm devastated!

Was hoping and hoping there'd be a last minute reprieve and someone would pick it up and keep it going.

I also remember all those stories and covers. Most of which ended up in my Manly scrapbooks of the 70's.

I'm pretty sure I still have the 1976 grand final issue where Fulton is crying on frank stantons shoulder.

I still buy it every week. Won't know what to do with myself Thursday mornings :(

It is a sad that that RLW is going. My memory of that magazine is doing work experience there in 1982 and meeting some of the great footy journalists like Ian Heads, Phil Tresidder and I remember at the time that Hartley and ZtH worked there as well and I remember being asked to collect ZtH's dry cleaning and get him a coffee. I was a wide eyed kid, Manly were 2nd that year and we won the Amco midweek cup beating Newtown and I went to that game after a day of work at RLW. Great memories for me. RLW over the years was the premier magazine. I preferred it to Big League which is owned by News Filth as it was independent and at the time was the face of everything and everyone who opposed the super league farce in 1995.
I always thought Big League was always owned by the NSW Rugby League, perhaps I'm wrong.
I only found out recently that those journos from RLW were made up names, apparently Ian Heads was /is a guy called Phil Jenkins, ZtH used to write under the name of Harry something or other
