Ref didn't cost us the game
* Oldfield not catching the ball with the line wide open
* Watmough rushing up on Thurston to stagger the line and then letting Bowen slide past him on the inside
* Matai more concerned with getting aggressive with Hall at marker and letting Payne stroll in
* Hoppa spilling the ball in the in goal
* Cowboys good defence
that's what cost us the game.

Absolutely...it was a shocking call. However we should never have been in a position where our fate was left in the hands of a complete moron looking at a TV screen.
We made too many errors and just let the game get away from us in a 10 minute period where they ran in 3 tries, all of which were poor efforts from us in some way. We dropped too much ball and they defended pretty well when it counted.

Exactly what I would say C&C. In truth we don't deserve that game, too many dropped balls, soft penalties (though some are also undeserved) and frankly little to no discipline. However tonight showed we can beat them and that hopefully after this loss the boys will wise up and get back in the game. Bring on the rematch at Brookie this June!!

What's all this utter rubbish about we played poorly, didn't deserve to win so refs didn't cost us the game? What are you guys smoking? We were good enough to be in the contest, and were clearly denied the contest because of foul refereeing. There is a trend of Manly coming back to be in games at the death. That is called heart. Something ex-Norths supporters would know nothing about. It is a good thing!

We were poor, or probably more appropriately, well down in several aspects of our play that had been so impressive already this season. Especially in defence, plenty of times we didn't have any markers in play and our line speed was non existent for big stretches of the game and the Cowboys made plenty of cheap in easy metres that hasn't been available against us at any stage this year.
Although no hiding we got screwed by the refs but glossing over the aspects of our game which weren't so good and just blaming the refs isn't going to help us one bit.

Some of you act like kicking goals from 1m from the sideline, 35m out, is a piece of piss! Go get yourself a ball and tee, head down to your local park, then get 15 thousand people come boo you, while you attempt it.

Agree BUT the top kickers do it 85-90 per cent of the time.....there were other factors in this loss but had all the goals been kicked we would have one...you can't argue that!!
