This is one of the dumbest performances I've seen from the Storm in some time. Deservedly, they'll go without scoring a try

Two Storms games I've watched this year, two times the refs have clamped down on things that posters on here have been complaining about. Smith backchat, Smith forward pass from dummy half, too long in wrestle, too quick off side on opposition play the ball. If every team is treated the same I say well done refs.
And I am really enjoying the proper play the ball with the foot, reminds me of when I played as a boy.

It’s unwatchable because the storm are always breaking the rules and have always got away with it. They looked lost tonight when they had to keep back ten, pass the ball backwards, not wrestle and not get in the refs ear constantly. Good on the refs for hammering them tonight. Loved seeing them get so frustrated that they ended up losing the plot at the end. Bellamy will have to have a good look in the mirror during the week.

It's not just the storm though, every game is now a penaltyathon with the result dictated by the refs. Is that what you want?

They had no answer because they have been getting away with it for so long and now they are getting pinged, at least they were tonight anyway. You can tell that they had decided not to answer questions about the refs because every time it was asked they deflected it onto their own inept performance.

Melbourne looked totally lost tonight not being able to control the game with wrestling, slowing it down by Smith constantly in the refs ear etc etc. And I'll say this.....without Cronk they have lost a hell of a lot of potency from their halves.

It might be too early to call it, but I'm willing to bet that the end of Melbourne's run is nigh with part of the so-called Big 3 gone.

Also, now the media are all carrying on about the amount of penalties...as are the coaches, well get the teams to stop infringing.

I bet if they ref's sent a bloke to the bin after 2 penalties but overall penalties were down to about 10 a game, the media and coaches would all be complaining about how hard it is to defend with 12 men and it's a sin bin for minor offences yadda yadda yadda go get a milkshake.
