Now our season is over and we lose our last two games, Mestrov should not have a choice.
Get rid of him.
The lightweight has already backed Seibold so he won't sack him. Mestrov won't make himself look like a clueless idiot.

Parra brought in a new, young coach who quickly moved on two of the clubs biggest and experienced names(Gutho&RCG),brought in a heap of young players they either developed or bought on the cheap from elsewhere, slowly improved their form with a change in defensive patterns and had their best and most expensive player out for a fair chunk of the season, are now only ONE win behind Manly.Parra look like they’re moving forward quicker than Manly.Anyone that still thinks after 3 seasons that Seibold needs more time due to any amount of excuses, especially “salary cap restraints” needs to be committed and Penn&co are number 1 on that list

I backed Seibs for the better part of two and a half seasons but I want him gone now and not because of results or position on the ladder; we’re middle of road and that happens…rather, it’s because of reports about the players not believing he is the answer, paired with reports he is keen to step away after next year.

It’s possible for coaches to suddenly turn things around, e.g. Arthur had some lean seasons at the Eels and made a GF, Cleary at Penrith, even Dessie had a tough first year at Manly. However, the players always backed the coach and you’d see media interviews and puff pieces on footy shows about the players loving the coach. I can’t recall hearing a coach is on the nose with his players and seeing a spike in performance; typically, it coincides with the wheels completely falling off. I worry we are headed for catastrophe next year. Further, if he’s going, let’s make next year the rebuild, rather than tread water for another season.

I don't think it's any assurance that Seibold isn't sacked before the end of the year.

I don't think it was ever going to happen prior to Round 27 because $$$. From a neutral perspective, it would be incredibly fruitless, especially that we're still in finals contention. What if Penn went out in the SMH or DT and say "yeah we're sacking him but not yet". What exactly would that achieve?
Very close to the mark 🤫

Just watched the post match press conference with Craig Bellamy.
What a difference in his assessment where he criticised their performance where Seibold would have said “they were the better team on the night”.A typical cop out defeatist attitude.A lack of intensity. No wonder we have the results we have.

Josh Hannay is moving on RCG from the titans as well

He’s been tapped on the shoulder twice in two years by two different clubs

And that’s why I don’t get the idea that a Manly coach must have Manly DNA.

If we go for a new coach then get the best young gun waiting in the wings , no affiliations , no relationships , a total fresh approach.
