‘Bogus’ finance loan paid for two Cronulla Sharks players

NOVEMBER 20, 2018

An NRL integrity unit investigation into the Cronulla Sharks salary cap scandal has uncovered an alleged fake invoice scam and a bogus finance loan used to secretly pay two players.

The Sunday Telegraph can reveal investigators plan to quiz former Sharks boss and now Manly Sea Eagles chief executive Lyall Gorman this week about a $100,000 ‘invoice’ from a telecommunications company for equipment and services that were never used or even delivered.

There is no suggestion that Gorman, who was Group CEO at the time, was aware of the invoice or loan. He declined to answer questions from The Sunday Telegraph.
Sharks can take the heat off us this year
Hope this blows up in their faces
Buzz and his mates need to head back to where they belong last place getters cant stand the dirty sharks.

Intentional falsification of contracts.....FAR more serious than what we were pinged for. (If proven)

Greenscum.....over to you.

Peptides now (alleged) cap rorting. Rothfield will be hitting it deluxe at the local!

I'm sorry .... I know that is only a legal disclaimer by the tele ...... but how in the name of holy shiite on a stick ... does a CEO not know of a $100,000 invoice and the signing of a $100,000 loan ...... Good Grief! ...

Easily if he had nothing to do with it. Woodsy surely you can see another attempt to de-rail Manly by the same faceless people who have an agenda against us. Looks like a good old fashioned stitch up to me. Firstly it wouldn't be the first time the Daily Birdcage Liner has put 2 and 2 together and got 400. Gorman was not responsible for our mess but he got dragged through it and now tey are making this sound like he is behind this Cronulla shambles. If it goes the way Buzz wants then Gorman will cop all the flack and Cronulla will get out of jail free because they self reported.

You can see where this going with the media despite a paragraph below;

There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing from Barker or Gorman, or that the then-CEO was aware of the situation.
