Shaun Lane

He hates DCE with a passion after the Jackson Hastings incident after the ‘nightclub’ visit in Gladstone
So can we get both Hastings and Lane for the rest of the year if we let DCE go now - wouldn't want either of them long term for anymore than depth but they'd be a plesent change if it meant letting go your royal $ docheness early.

I have always liked S Lane, as a player ad as a person, but I agree with Nike, he is a left edge not a prop, still he would be good to get back for a short stint once D$E has left

He'll change with Manly, everybody need a change, a
Maroon always a Maroon. He'll b better than Jerbo, TKO, SIP, Brown, Lodge, or anybody for the next 2yrs till the boys mature. SIGN HIM UP NOW
I think he’s struggled because Mahoney is no longer there. The service from dummy half used to get Brown over the advantage line quickly and he’d use Lane against a retreating defence and it was effective; whether he’d score himself or offload to Gutho. There’s not much else on offer though.

I was listening to abc radio a few weeks back and the eels were playing. One of the commentators said Dylan Brown was trying to set up a play and telling Lane what he wanted him to do and Lane was refusing.

Can't remember who they were playing.

Thought at the time it was a telling observation about how the Brown saga was having an effect on the playing group.

But maybe it was more about Lane's headspace instead.

They are abandoning ship on the SS Eel's, Joe Ofahenguie, sorry for the spelling, has signed with the Liegh Leopards on a long term deal.
But they’re not exactly losing stars that’ll make a difference.Manly need to do the same with their deadwood
