Never in the history of Silvertails team selections have so many options, combinations and permutations been made around the possibility of just one player inclusion.

I am counting and up to option 36,194 .. I think that there are about 355 trillion combinations possible in a 17 man squad ..

So keep going ..

so many utilities, so few specialists
so many players in positions but performing different or part roles

it was like this off season with who will be where
lawnton, walker, schuster all need to be there probably due to form or to offsets the halves and hooker contributions and the lack of variety in the front row

its good forum stuff, on field its a little less positive but , hey ......until then its wabbit season

If we can get up in Murray's face he's got a mistake in him, we just have to shut him down but at the same time watch our 10 metres otherwise Atkins will be all over us
i think manly have become to obsessed on the quick game from last seasons results
its clear we need to slow the game down with kicking to rest our big guys that struggle when under the hammer. last week the forwards would have given half there wages to walk to a scrum in the first half
cook and murray are better at the fast game than the current manly team without tommy.

we need to start reading the room a little better . game awareness is what the pros call it
get brian smith on the phone i say

Our start is crucial, one mistake or penalty could be terminal. Just like deKline, school teacher Atkins rules by the text book, hope Des has done his homework on the ref, these days it's a huge factor.

But what if !!.. we start well, the Sths resolve might not be there. Getting beaten by the Tigers is a big red flag for them, got a feeling early points is the key for us on Friday night.

Our games and headspace are generally dictated by the first couple of sets.
How many times have we seen a dropped ball by Marty, Paseka or Parker in the first set or two, then the opposition score.

No mistakes first 20 mins should set us up for a good performance.

The boys will need to stay focused and play disciplined football because as we know the referees will win this for the vermin. They will get all the 50/50 calls and any other leg ups to get them out of trouble.

Not playing there game in Syd is big for us, whenever we play at Central Coast Stadium I've always got confidence we're going to get a win here.

I was with you completely, until the last sentence.

The stats for BlueTongue as the locals still affectionally call it....

The Sea Eagles have won 16 of their 21 matches played at Gosford since 2007.

Manly and South Sydney have played each other four times at Central Coast with the honours split two wins apiece.

The last time the two teams played in Gosford was in round two of the 2014 season with Cherry-Evans scoring a try in the 14-12 win.

Its a different side tis week. And for this team to play to its strengths. It needs to play different. It's a more speedy, more mobile squad with ball players potentially all over the park.

So DCE is key. And not even with ball in hand.

Years past our eyes up approach, has equaled too many chiefs and not enough indians with no one seemingly steering.

I think we are seeing a new focus to DCE in 2022.

The team needs more structure to work within, and above all else just a clear boss calling the shots.

Can't expect complete synchronisation straight up. But fingers crossed this team could change our path this season.

I don't think that we had good wins with Delius and Lawton playing last year is a coincidence. Line speed will improve.

yeah he was a strange one and i was taking the pizz, but he was the king of taking minutes out of footy games and parra upset the bronx a fair few times using this method if i recall. he also kind of drove jamie lyon our way so he has some runs on the board

but my recollections lack consistency, so i make stuff up

So how should we have game-managed to get a scrum?
Serious question, I'm not sure when there are scrums now. Because I can't even find the 2022 version of NRL rules.
In fact can anyone provide a link? that would be helpful (not the international rules etc etc, but the specific rules that apply to NRL).
Are they even published anywhere?
Or do they really want to keep fans as ignorant about the rules as possible!!!?

its the nrl so im not so sure but i have seen scrums this year so someone knows how to manage it,

i have felt for years that confusion around the rules is not by accident, and how can you have a rule and an interpretation of the rule and not admit to making **** up when it suits
