All 3 of those would be close to minimum wage and we HAVE to have a top 30 for salary cap… would need to trim some of the guys on higher coin… Aloiai, Paseka, Koula etc
Not saying those 3 should go but that is the (minimal) level of player we would need to move on to free up cash for Lenui

Actual? I have just googled it and yeah 2 weeks which would have been 1 week but for the “monkey loading”…
With the additional week that means that Spencer’s nasty animal name is officially deemed by the NRL to be equally as bad as driving unlicensed, on drugs and injuring members of the public… nice…

I think our buys over the last couple of seasons tell you that our cap is screwed… Brooks being the outlier but even he came cheap (for a half)…
I would say that beating off the knights for Sandwich, the lifetime Gauc contract, renewing our vows with the Preacher, the massive Koula upgrade and the looming upgrade for Hoppa (on top of Chez and multiple Turbos) means we will not be in the market for marquee players anytime soon…
and about $600k too expensive.
From another perspective, we have been in the market for marquee players but we didn't have to look very far. I'd call Olakau’atu a marquee player and I think Hoppa could well end up there as well.

Yep, I was more implying that I do not expect any big signings of NEW players…
I actually think our squad is pretty bloody good atm… but I would take Lenui if we could make it happen…
