Stopping Smith and Grant is one of our biggest challenges, and I think the loss of Croker is a blow because of his match fitness and terrier defence but I'm still confident we can still get the job done. Storm will come out firing but (sentence trails off into the never never)

Kenny Bromwich close to the line also .... not to mention Olam

I'm stoked for the change... Croker has been solid for sure, but Lawton is much better at 9... Rather him starting nine over being wasted on the bench for 65 mins each game...
To beat storm I think we need that X factor in a few areas and Croker just dosent have any... Not sure I like sirro on tho.. rather sipley get the bench

I’m guessing Des is thinking it’s going to be a very fast game tonight. Sirro is a little more mobile than Sips and can cover that inside ball. Also we already have 2 props on the bench. Sirro gives us a little more injury cover than Toff.

Your most probably right ..plus sirro has a bit of ball playing in him too... Not that he's used it much the last few years.. I'm sure we can win tonight, I think these changes helped more than hindered

The secret tonight is simple for me,

Errors are going to happen , but we need to limit them if possible , we don’t need “ Hail Mary “ plays.

And if we limit errors , and kick well then we should get close to 50% possession.

If this happens , we are better than they are in an attacking sense and will win.

But Bellamy is an absolute master at upsetting the apple cart , so it ain’t going to be easy.

We might miss Croker's D but I think we'll look better in attack with Lawton. He plays a more up tempo game than Croker and of the two is the better, more specialised hooker.

It's a testament to Croker's efforts that he has been able to make that 9 jersey his own despite being a makeshift hooker, but I think Lawton can prove his worth tonight. Could be just the ticket against a Storm side that relies on speed to shut down plays.

So looking at the 2 teams we have strengths and so do they. but the big difference is our shaky defense at times even against weak teams. Croker out will make the problem even worse I'm afraid. As brilliant as an attacking team we can be , we won't get that lattitude against the drizzle. They will shut down Tom and with our poor ball security and leaky defense I can see the purple scum winning comfortably after an even 60min. Storm by 16.
