I think Simpkin has some up side still ,but Talin is nearly the finished product ,and Croker who was never a proper 9 in any case ,cannot be left in that position i don't think.
For me Croker maybe has potential to be a good 13 (good D should have enough passing as an X 7 and enough speed,certainly quick er that Jake) ,but he is not a serviceable 9 .A fact thats been proven by Simpkin even though he is not top shelf .
As other s have said we have a few coming up from the young guys and TBH from what I have seen of Simpkin I think we should spend the cash on a top line FR that Simpkin can run onto the ball at pace unlike what Croker has shown to be capable of .

I also like Simpkin but he is probably more of a ‘good back up’ type player rather than starter. Da Silva has been killing it the past month in NSW Cup according to tigers fans, definitely a upgrade on anything we currently have

Has been given permission to look around immediately. Was close to going to the knights but his manager asked for permission to speak to other clubs so i’m guessing he doesn’t want to end up there. Interesting to see what happens considering these rumours from earlier in the year. Id say dogs would be favourites considering his best friend is Galvin & they have tapped Mahoney on the shoulder but maybe we are a chance?

Why arent we chasing him, man we get left in the blocks for sure

I don't see us signing anyone unless they are stuck in NSW cup and looking to cement a NRL spot.
We are a basket case and will struggle to sign anyone unless we pay overs, especially the last 2 months.
If we were trying to sign Fogerty now he would seriously weighing up offers elsewhere.

Well luckily for us TDS has been stuck in reserve grade the last month & wants to leave to cement himself a NRL spot. The only time he gets in top grade is with injuries at Tigers currently

Context: said to be leaving the tigers, managed by Mario Tartak who has a presence in the club already, Manly area of deficiency at hooker (we have plenty but they are all poor).

Api is a sought out spine player

Given we are coming off a game where our starting hooker played 80 minutes and did not take a single run the whole time.. going after Da Silva is a no brainer. Would be worth the $$$ given he’d be filling a hole we’ve had for 5 years
