It was all there for the team to make a good show, with the key being a mongrel pack of forwards who dominate... and then Manly shoot themselves in the foot with sloppy mistakes when they did drive some metres up the middle. :🙂
I was bemused by the gaping holes the opposition ran through - boy, did they open us up; Manly let Lockyer run at will. :-[
All this on our first Sunday afternoon free-to-air game for the whole world to see. Forget about flying under the radar, after that showing, there is a blip on the screen that aint moving - the eagle has landed. :'(
The only comfort I take out of that game was watching Whare, Hoppa, and T-Rex; Shane Rodney going all out; and I was proud of Ben Farrar under those high balls.
And another comfort I take out: let me put this down to a mid-season slump that most teams go through at some stage. :-\
