The Anthony Seibold Grievances MEGA THREAD

Personally I think the success of a coach is improvement year on year.

That can de determined by the playing roster as well ( I mean if we had all our superstars retire at once and they weren’t replaced) , or the addition of one or two really top shelf players ( such as Reynolds & Walsh for the Donkeys last year ).

But if we take 2023 v 2024

We lost a bit of dead wood

Added arguably our best recruit for a while.

And have had some youngsters emerge.

So things have changed , but also Seibold inherited Des’s roster last year , this year is his roster ( or close to it ).

We certainly have improved from 2023, but we also have a ways to go to be a real chance.

Why would I do that when I have been a diehard Eagles fan for 60 years? I just have higher expectations and standards than you do.
You have followed the team for that long and all you choose to do is vent over Seibold endlessly, like a jilted lover.

Imagine the contributions and insights you could make to this forum with all the footy you have watched.

What a shame.

I think it's fair to say Manly are playing far more attractive footy since Seibold arrived, using the pace and flair out wide.....
We did not have much pace and flair and attractive attacking style with Parker and Harper in our back line feathered friend
Credit to Seibold for upgrading that Des Hasler line up

Oh Bozo - I think you left a few out ....

Let's add the other "slow players" who were in the team -

Saab
Koula
Garrick
Tommy
Weekes

I was not talking about the above
I was talking about the ones that stalled the backline and are now playing NSW cup for obvious reasons

Well that was Des choice - they were in the squad and hungey for a run, so if he chose the 'slow pokes", that's on him right ?

100% my feathered friend and I stated that in my earlier post to you
Copy and Paste 🙂

My bad Bozo, I was a little confused about the Parker, Harper stuff but I do think we agree some of Des playing style and selections were getting outdated and predictable

I think Siebold has spent most of this year fine tuning the side to get it performing at its best. If we can keep the core of the squad stable we will be in very good shape next year. I still think we will struggle to win anything with Croker at 9 though.

If Seibold can't get this team to fire and at least get to week 2 then he needs to be sacked.
That Dogs team has way over achieved and if we can't beat them then the last month has been a complete shambles. 96 points conceeded in last 3 games.

And just who have you in mind to replace him with?
