Correct me if I'm wrong here guys, but is it that DCE doesn't rate Seibold's coaching, or is it something else? By that I mean, wasn't Seibold assistant Qld coach during the time when Thurston, Cronk and co didn't want him in the team? Maybe Seibold was a part of that group that ousted DCE and he is still holding a grudge.

I think it's just plain and simple that DCE knows Spoony is a schiit coach and doesn't want to be there as we are no hope of a premiership with him as coach.

Honestly I wish we could just move on , he’s gone , no one really knows the machinations other than the player , his agent , his family & the MWSE owners / CEO, 99.9% on here is just regurgitated media BS from either side.

At this stage anything the pro members are saying isn’t convincing the anti members to change their view and vice versa, yet we keep posting ( yes it’s meaningless ).

If he wants to play SOO, who cares.

If he wants to play the hard done by card , who cares.

He’s a professional , play the rest of the games , keep us away from the spoon , and enjoy your time at the Roosters where we can then boo you if we wish and not feel bad about it.

I'm a little confused; Are you saying that DCE was happy to have Barrett as his coach given that he is now leaving Manly but stayed on during the Barrett years (contract on foot) OR that Barrett is a better coach than Seibold due to what, in particular?

Could it be that perhaps Seibold, as coach, and as is his right given he is the coach, isn't happy with DCE?

Again, I'm playing devils advocate here but your reply appears to imply that he was happy with the failure that was Barrett (and it is was a failure as Barrett was sacked with a year remaining on his contract) and the performance of the team during Barrett's tenure, yet not "happy enough" to "fail" under Seibold?

Did DCE have one year remaining on his lengthy contract whilst Barrett was coach?

Did DCE convey his thoughts to the Club that at the end of the season or seasons that Barrett was coach that he "was undecided" as to his future?

Was DCE or his management approached by other clubs during Barrett's tenure enquiring as to his availability or interest "should he decide" to leave Manly (the answer is no), but why not, Barrett was a terrible coach, however, perhaps DCE during those years may not have received the same money he was getting at Manly from another club.

I understand you have a dislike for Seibold, and that is your right, but to try and support your argument with Trent Barrett as "Exhibit A" isn't a sound basis to do so.
