You're right about one thing though Bear, he hasn't attacked the fans.

Well the fans are giving it to him in spades on social media so I'd say he's gearing up for a well placed fu*k you to us as well in the form of here , choke on these losses.

Ive always felt the FB group was heavily modded to only allow nice things to be said at all times, but it has turned big time on DCE, and Seibold also to an extent. Finally refreshing to read all opinions instead of only the positives - it was always like listening to a Seibold press conference.

DCE knew exactly where he was going when he appeared on channel 9…shook hands with the roosters late last year but no contract signed then ,as the roosters needed to clear the decks first. Stating I don’t know where I’ll be 2026 but it won’t be at manly was disrespectful to the manly fans who have supported him through out his career when he knew exactly where he was going.He should have been straight with the fans and if you couldn’t talk about the roosters contract say nothing till you could.i have no issue with him going to the roosters it’s a business and you need to look after your family and no doubt the deal will be better their than the sea eagles could ever offer .

PISS WEAK ....seem like spoony is reluctant to make any big calls not matter how big the issue in front of him.

Of course Seibold has his weaknesses, as do most humans (with the exception of some silvertails) but I don't really have any concerns that he is not prepared to make any big calls.

• Allowing Fifita (forget his first name) and the other promising junior prop (also forget his name) to go in return for Woods
• Allowing Latu and Samuela to leave
• Pissing Schu off to cut our losses
• Signing unfashionable half Brooks to play 5/8
• Selecting Lehi when there may have been barely a solitary Silvertail saying he's ready for 1st grade
• Pushing Jake up to prop from the lock spot he's held for yonks

All of those examples were quite big calls and he's made others, such as putting backs on the bench.
I'd say the bulk of those have been shown to be good calls in hindsight.

What he does about the DCE situation (assuming there is a DCE situation, which I think most here believe) he won't put his head in the sand. It's probably such a big deal that he'll be in close consultation not only with his assistants but also with Mestrov and quite possibly with any mentors he still has from his other situations.

Will he get it right? I have no idea!!
But I'm confident he's aware of the situation, smart enough to know when a club has the serious wobbles, and he's not shy to make big calls. His own career as well as Manly's season might be riding on it?
