Here’s one for ya…
Jake turbo will never win the premiership he deserves and will retire in the same vein Nathan Hindmarsh did.. a club legend who never won the big one… unless we move on Tom…

I love Tom, but he is deadset crippling this club… whilst we continue playing 50% + of each season with second/third/4th string fullbacks, we have no hope of being a threat to anyone… and it’s evidently clear by now that Toms body just can’t handle nrl contact

Our owners are duck heads

Most of our team sucks and wouldn't get a start in 1st grade anywhere else.

Schuster at $800k a season is just ridiculous money. Insane. Whoever signed that deal should be institutionalised. He's a dud.

Turbo, should **** SOO off and if doesn't play at least 20 games for Manly next year then we should let him go.

Seibold will be gone before this time next year.

Luke Brooks will add nothing.

We are finishing 10 to 13 in 2024

According to DJ Qbert it should’ve been there from the start? “It shoulda been in there from day one of the Olympics,”DJ Qbert, one of Rock Steady’s first DJs, tells HipHopDX. “People are starting to figure out Hip Hop culture’s breaking has way more flavor in body language than what the Olympics had to offer previously.”
How could Pierre de Coubertin overlook such a cultural obscurity?
Sacre bleu!!

We should be a much better side than the meek position on the ladder reflects. Injury really has cruelled our chances with so many forwards out, Turbo again and the shoe.
I feel the Seibold appointment has been a disaster so far. He was and still is the wrong man for the job. Sure sack the former boss but we needed a better proven option.
I'm not sure how long Schuster will be in a maroon and white strip. He has all the natural talent in the world but what appears to be little desire.
I really hope for better next year but at the same time I'm not holding my breath.

Instead of picking an unproven coach we signed a coach for 3 years that failed previously at a top club in the broncos. Adding fuel to the fire we have a nsw cup coach that is having success with a team that normally comes last.

Im just hoping someone at manly has a brain between their ears to make the obvious correction happen. If not we should send the flip who signs players/coach to the dolphins

1. Rubbish (and I mean RUBBISH) recruitment / retention - particularly in the forwards;
2. Carrying too many always injured players;
3. Delusional Owner, CEO and Coach. We are NOWHERE near challenging for a premiership;
4 Need more spark from dummy half - which Gordie provided;
5. Cap management - disgrace (same as point 1 I guess);
6. Allowing that sphincter Flanagan to remain like a dried up crystalzing dag, now openly having a bidding war with his current boss for an assistant - FMD;
7. Need to cull players who are disruptive culture wise - we know who they are;
8. Okay, 15% of Brookie now looks acceptable and is 2023 capable - fix the other damned 85% of the old dinosaur!
9. Retain modern player prototypes (examples Fainu, Fifita, Tuitavake) stop retaining plonkers (examples Woods, Condon & others;
10. Stop acquiring coaches and players from one agent - he carries all the mid (bog average) talent, and almost broke The Broncos. We need at least TWO marquee forwards this off season to remotely challenge. If not, we'll be 12th - 15th yet again next season.

Well, that's telling it straight.
I certainly agree that our recruitment of Tulilagi and Condom was a failure. Woods' was strange. However. Lodge was an inspired recruitment, until injury hit. I was against it but I was wrong -- not for the first time.
I actually think we have a decent roster, plus good back-up in the Workers, and the recruitment of Brookes also looks inspired. So, on paper, if we can avoid serious injury to our key playmakers and best forwards then I'm feeling optimistic for 2024.
I reckon we'll be definite top eight next season, with injuries are greatest threat.

Unless we get 1-2 marquee forwards, 12th-15th, tops. Like I projected us for this year.

We also need to stick with Gordie now. Or acquire a specialist 9 if Siebold doesn't want to stick with him.

OK here is my shock announcement now that I am in scrutiny free zone 😂

I think Manly will make the eight next year. 😵‍💫

Yep, you have heard it from me. I think the rise of Blacktown is a sign of things to come. I think Manly are copying the Penrith model in their recruitment and just like with Penrith it takes a while, but will happen. I have had my pulse-o-meter as negative all year, and never wavered, but I think, like me, the team is sick of dead rubber games in August and will fix it next year. They won’t play for us, nor the Manly region, but they play for each other. That’s the modern footy community.

2024 top 8, 2026-2027 premiership window, although I hope 2025 so DCE can bookend his great career with premiership wins.

Is there a chance Croker could make a decent lock ?
High workrate, not sure he has all the qualities (impact) but as an ex 5/8 maybe a better 1st reciever than dummy half, he can provide a decent pass in open field, maybe not a damaging ball runner, but could maybe win quick play balls like a Mcguiness type small forward and offers some steel in defence.....shoot with good and bad feedback on this matter and if I'm being a Womble....just tell me straight, this thread is about shooting like an arrow and copping it on the chin

I hate the NRL taking our home games on the road.

Can almost guarantee the Vegas game will be considered a home game for us.
Also add Magic round 2024 will be a home game against Brisbane.
Why o why is it always us, I demand a toss of the coin on this.

I think GCKT might be the versatile one. If we let Croker play 50-60 minutes a game that means less tackling and potentially more impact. GCKT can play the other 20-30 minutes and even be on the field at the same time as a utility. IMHO opinion his service from dummy half is 1st grade ready.

Some on here keep harping about hooker yet two of the best (API and Cook) are playing for teams not performing well. Another two good ones (Granville and Robson) stack up the Cowboys and they are not even an eight lock yet. Mahoney plays great for the dogs and look at them - dog****.

With the right attitude from the forwards, and some good buys we have made in the backs I think we have the team already.

You can have Excuses for failure or you can have finals success
You can never have both
And this is why we do not have both our NRL Eagles and Blacktown Eagles representing our legendary club into finals Glory

The Blacktown Eagles Coach had half his team eliminated assisting their NRL Manly Brothers
But that Adversity did not over come their Resilience to eliminate them from their break through against all odds success to finals Glory

No one has ever Over achieved by making Excuses
Excuses only Exclude teams from making the Finals

The Blacktown eagles road to finals Glory are the Epitome of Resilience Always Trumps over Excuses

I honestly think there is very little between teams 3/4 and teams 13 on the ladder. We have sucked it up the last two years with injuries, but most teams now run a fine line with their squads. Teams that are healthy and can get a good run going with few injuries generally do well (Knights).

I’m confident we play finals every year if we can get 2/3 of the season with Tom on the paddock.

I sometimes piss in the shower and eat icecream from the tub.
I am Always Pissed off when Manly do not make the finals
and fail to honor our legendary club by not living up to its great Benchmark standards

The Honest Thread most Important point .
LOWER OUR LEGENDARY CLUBS GREAT STANDARDS AND WE DONT STAND FOR ANYTHING GREAT
