You could be right about that @Ryan. His positional play definitely had a Snake look about it.
Also it was obvious today Tom's presence had a significant effect on DCE and our attack in general. Welcome back Tom!

He was really special today Ryan, may have something to do with Snake’s mentoring . He brings so much excitement & enthusiasm to the team along with confidence for DCE .

Certainly seemed to open up the field if that makes sense.
One thing I DID notice today, was our centres both seemed to want to pass to their wingers more, which has been quite restricted these past 2 years.
Such an attacking threat, keeps defenders interested even when he isn't getting the ball.....creates opportunities for others A couple of little defensive mistakes today but didn't cost us anything. We look a different side when he plays, genuine strike weapon. I was really liking how he was sniffing around the ruck and fringes today, looking for those offloads and inside balls.

Dont worry you two, I have come to love you guys these days. I still enjoy your contributions its nice to get the other side of the coin and there is no harm in a bit of harmless banter along with it.
He added so much yesterday and was just there at the right moment. It was very snake like in how different the team played when snake was in vs snake being out

My only beef is he can be clumsy cleaning up kicks in the in goal. Hope the prince is working on that with him.
But overall our attack looked so much better with Tommy in yesterday.
Can I also add we meet brother Ben Turbo on the hill last weekend he looks a lot like Tom. Wonder when we will see him in first grade in the next few seasons

I don't know .... and it is not a matter of ducking and weaving .... I simply don't know .... he was certainly inexperienced ....
He had 2 disasterous years with injuries and finished well down the ladder ... he had one good year with injuries and finished 6th ...
Turbo, DCE, Jake, Thommo, Jamie Lyon and others all speak very highly of him ... I'll cop a tip from them .... was he the man for the job ... probably not ... did he get the support he deserved or needed ... definetly not ...
Is 10% of the childish butthurt abuse he has copped deserved ... no ...
Am I happy Dessie is back .. yes .. and as last night showed .. contrary to the numbnuts that bagged our roster .... we have a very good squad ... missing just a couple of mongrels that would make us real contenders .... bring it on ....
Tommmy's performance should remind all those that call for him to play in the centres .... they are wrong ....
Tom may have the occasional defensive lapse at fullback .. but the value of having him attack anywhere anytime from fullback greatly outweighs the negatives ...

My 2 concerns with Tommy at fullback was positional and chatter, it looks like Snake and Des are working on that and great to see the improvement of this added to his natural abilities. He is going from strength to strength he can be anything.
Also good to see all our roster improving in areas mainly attitude and I am not saying this because we won, it has been evident from the get go this season regardless of results.
