Let me guess. Democrats are against anything that tries to address out of control government spending, and are using the threat of a government shutdown to score political points over the evil dictator.

There is a valid discussion over trans people in sport however

1. It is not as a large of an issue as is made out (still important to talk)
2. Has nothing to do with the proposed shut down.
