Turbo Math

Some Turbo Math to quantify the difference he makes to our team. For those of you who have seen MoneyBall this is the formula they use. It's been adapted for rugby league making the exponential 1.89 as that was the best fit when running the equation with all historical games.

The first 5 rounds with no Turbo our expected win % came out as 8.3% Since he came back into the side in round 6 our expected win % has improved to 83.4%

Yes this is just a statistic and there are variables that it doesn't account for but it really highlights his value to the side and furthers the case that he's one of the most influential players of the modern era.

Note: I haven't adjusted for the games he went off the field early, couldn't be bothered.

Not so much into the maths but just been thinking, Tom is starting to look very much like Manly's next captain. I have long assumed that Jake would get than mantle, and might, but as of now I think Tommy is a brilliant leader-in-waiting.

I don't disagree, Jake for mine may be a little too emotional - for want of a better term (not a bad thing but it has cost him in games). Looking at the team I cant see any aside from those 2
