Turbo tied up long term

People are always so quick to pile on the player these days

I've said it a few times but fandom is so toxic these days often fuelled by a 24 hours news and content cycle.

So Tom should look out for himself as should any player because the clubs will turn on you if it benefits them and certainly a large portion of fans will at the drop of a hat.

He doesnt owe the club a thing.
I think it's probably more of a misdirected pile-on club management, rather than a pile-on on Tom, when it should be a pile-on on the agent and his media henchmen.

I'm sorry but I'm over this crap Tom if you want just leave. One minute Tom is looking to hand money back (supposedly) now he wants to complain about 100k wtf

"The contract at the Wolves is worth less than the one on offer at Manly, but money is not the key driver behind Trbojevic’s decision."

Then why are you complaining if money is not the key driver?
Im just a pie eater ,but a lot of this doesn't make a lot of sense ,Wolves offering less $ and less years ,yet its not about the money.
I smell another slimey manager playing Manly off the break here ,ala what happened with the Schu,The Fainu's etc .
I want him to stay ,but why cant we quietly just extend someone like every other bloody club does with out all our dirty laundry getting hung out to be inspected ,dissected and scrutinised by these low life alleged "journalists"

Because we are a deeply unserious club

So the report says it's not about the money but then says he won't accept the $2.2mil revised down deal . Then says he won't even get near that going to ESL. So is it or isn't it about the money. Is he going to give Manly a $1.3 mil performance next year. Why the rush to resign him anyway. This whole thing smells of media bullsh*t.

TBaz, Keith Titmuss, rainbow-gate, Des sacking, Seibold signing, Schuster signing, Schuster sacking, Lodge signing, Lloyd Perrett, DCE circus, Daley signing, Daley rejection… that is just off the top of my head…

It ain’t Turbo’s fault that Manly look bad…
and the common denominator with all of that is ,,,,,,,,,,?
Ill give you a hint ,has a peaches and cream complexion, sometimes goes by the name Mr Fluffy ,has a very sore anus from the sliver spoon that has been firmly implanted since birth ,surname begins with begins with P.
DM me for more hints

Anything under $900k is an insult.

We only win when he plays, our entire seasons are based on the amount of games he plays.

The best Manly players in a decade.

Someone has to be our top money earner, might as well be someone who can actually play and has his heart in it.
I think the 850k talked about earlier in the week suits all parties.

Shame it seems to have fallen down since then.

Nope he gets injured playing for us so should accept match payments and be grateful 🤣🤣🤣

I’m honestly flabbergasted that some around here are happy to give Tom an open cheque and name his amount. The real reason we have been **** for all these years is because we have had big money tied up to 3 players, being Tom, Jake and DCE.

If we want any future success we have to make the hard calls and only offer so much to players who don’t deliver or are constantly injured. The club and administration are finally making the smart business decisions in re-structuring our cap and some people still have no idea. Then they’ll complain and bag a player that is on 250k for not delivering, but Tom and Jake are immune to the criticism because they are ‘local juniors’.

Can you please quote the posts where anyone has said they are 'happy to give Tom an open cheque and to name his amount'.

I've obviously missed some posts.

This is all clearly Turbo's manager trying to increase his commission.

Instead of getting angry at Turbo, Mestrov or Gentle. Just be angry at that grubby prick and wait until it's official.

Letting knob managers drum up fan anger to up their players' contracts is not in the team's best interest. I'd like for us to actually have enough room in the cap to field a competitive side for a change.

What is this? Amateur hour???
Why didnt the idiot offering Turbo $X amount go to the board first to get the maximum they were prepared to part with. The idiot could have offered a lower figure & then increased it should the need arise.
This is unbelievable!!!

The deal was agreed too, the number was agreed too, getting to that number was agreed too.

What's changed is the manager, again, trying to hold the club to account for a little more money wherein the club is wanting that tied to a series of clauses.

"That would likely see him earn an annual average salary between the figure of $850,000-$900,000 as originally discussed."

That exact quote is from the article.

Join the dots as to why this has come out at the last minute.

I'll say no more than that.
