An extremely long bow IMO to attribute any of those players departures to DCE bar maybe Humphreys.....maybe.

And Hynes (who incidentally was a fullback when he popped up at Melbourne) and possibly Weekes (also playing fullback) are the only ones worth anything…

…and neither are a better halfback than Chez (at 36)…

Edit: actually Metcalf was having a good year before his injury so he may end up the best of the lot but I seem to recall that it was Foran coming back that led to his release…

As a Manly fan…..no player is bigger than the club! If Trbo is heading down the same path as DCE (greedy) then he’s welcome to go! Manly offered DCE what they thought he was worth at his age & he declined! Manly have offered Trbo what they feel he is worth taking into consideration his injury history & amount of games played! Should he reject the offer then cya later. We have more than capable fullback options in Hoppa & Koula! Yes would be sad to see him go but……

The issue is the way manly administration have managed the contract negotiations ….so you agree a deal then it goes to the board then the board tries to give the player a reportedly 300 k haircut.of course that’s going to piss the player off …if it was reversed and Tom went back and asked for more after agreeing with club a deal thats greedy.Also Tom could more than likely get more somewhere else but wants to stay that’s not greed that’s loyalty. I’m sure if any of the silvertails were treated like that at work by their employer they would be pissed.this is the same administration who went on fox and offered DCE a deal…sums up Penn s ability as a businessman…****ing useless.i would be embarrassed to own a business that was being managed like the sea eagles..let’s not forget Penns rainbow gate debacle.

So, if what the media say is true and we offered Turbo a deal, then took a $100k a year off it, that is Tom being greedy??.... If what the media say is true, someone in HO needs to get the sack now.
