Agreed, I think this alleged new offer is actually more appropriate for Tom but if he was initially offered more and then handed a lesser contract that is pretty amateur. Could all be BS but the amount of stories coming out against the club is fairly concerning and points to a lack of leadership/what does this new media manager of ours even do?

Also have to wonder how a failed ex-Broncos interim coach can go on to become our head of football and recruitment..

It's quite straight forward. Gentle was Seibold's right hand man at the Broncos.
It just makes sense Seibold hired him at Manly to continue the spoon excellence.

You would have thought that going into any negotiation that the board, coaching staff and CEO would all be on the one page about what they are going to offer a player.
It is so unprofessonal that yis a meeting and a salary agreed only for all of it to be undermined because a player is offered higher salary only for that offer to be tabled 100K a year cheaper.

You sould think that re-signing the brothers should be straight forward only for this to be bungled and giving Wa#$k#rs like Weedkiller another reason to stick the boot in.

Has anyone else offered Tom anything ?? I mean the English Super league salary cap is only $4.2Mil AUD so I hardly think they're able to offer $850K. Clearly no one in the NRL is offering that so why the fu*k are we offering him anything at this point and who authorised this so called $850K offer. Wouldn't you wait to see what else he gets offered. Is any other nrl club that desperate to offer him more considering his injury record.
