The answer: I e-mailed you to pick it up yesterday!!!!!

It was a Toshiba Laptop actually - the Mac is four years old and hasn't missed a beat.

I love the idea that macs never break down or have viruses, even though its well noted that their latest gen machines were crap and fell apart much more than PC. IBM just joined forces and will be working on a new kind of PC soon

Anecdotal evidence.

I have 3 computers and the Mac is by far the most reliable and has had little trouble. The other two have spent half their lives at the helpdesk.
