Speed , Power , skill and consistency Kills and Thrills
Ahh.
Speed , Power , skill and consistency Kills and Thrills
Darcy turns 29 on June next year and he is over the potential stage . All the great props have well and truly consolidated their statues in the NRL by the age of 29.
Darcy has shown he is capable but also has shown he is not consistent .
What makes competent , and great players ?
CONSISTENCY
CONSISTENCY
CONSISTENCY
CONSISTENCY
CONSISTENCY
WITHOUT CONSISTENCY WE CANT EXPECT SUCCESS !!!
1. Your calling people on here that disagree with you dummies and fool ?I know I shouldn't bother, but the urge to clarify a couple of things for the dummies was just too great,
1) NOT talking about potential to be a good player (you fool) ... talking about the potential to have a big influence on our season.
2) VERY difficult to have consistency, or any reasonable form, when you miss the last 4 games of a season .. have no preseason .... miss the first 6 games of the next season .. play 2 games and then miss the next 10 games. I didn't think there would have been any need to explain that to anyone with a modicum of intellect .. but there you go.
Possibly the endless search for meaningless clichéd memes used out of context has atrophied that part of the brain usually used to think.

Play the ball Woodsie not the men .
2. I think you don't have any idea what so ever where I am coming from and I totally don't agree with your constant excuses for mediocre .
3. This is what I think of your excuses for mediocre .......

1. Your stats are as meaning less as your excuses for mediocre .@BOZO
PSS. If you think that the following ..

is simply an excuse and wouldn't have an affect on form, you really are mad.
At the end of the day we agree on the most important thing and that is we both love our Sea eagle and this makes us feathered friends whether you like it or not .I think that would be mediocrity ... is there a spelling meme we could check? Got to be some useless cliché somewhere .... I know, how about winners are grinners ... haven't used that one for a while or when the going gets tough is a classic ... works well with the u/12's.
1. Your stats are as meaning less as your excuses for mediocre .
Darcy is 28 years of age and has been inconsistent through out his career.
2. Parra signed him as a potential marquee player and he never cemented a starting role

Welcome on Board feathered friend Ryan and thank you for your contribution to this post 🙂Speaking of stats, you realise he almost ran an average of 100 metres per game this season, mate? (96.08). In fact, if you compare those stats to those in his last year at Parramatta, you can see, given all his disruption, Barrett is still getting more out of him than at his previous club (85 metres per game).
In fact, of the entire 16 forwards (including Hooker) that played for us this season, Darcy out-ran all but 6 of them (including beating out guys like Sironen, Perrett & others). Again, this is while playing underdone at times like you've seen.
Can't you see, given this information, that @Woodsie 's original post was spot on?
Admittedly, he ran for an average of 122 metres per game in 2016. Know where that would place him in this years stats if he was able to hit those numbers again? Slightly behind only Marty Taupau and Jake Trbojevic (and no-one else) making him what would have been the 3rd best metre maker at the club.
Also, you need those aggressive, don't take one step back types of forwards mate. He's a forward that won't recoil from guys like S. Burgess, JWH, Taumalolo. I'm sorry I got involved in your debate with Woodsie, but come on man, given these numbers, surely you can admit you are wrong on this instance?
I don't bag players I call it as I see it and you have stated your facts and I have mineWhat stats .. just mentioned some facts ... look up the difference.
And again .... in your desire to bag a player ... you fail to comprehend the actual purpose of the thread.
Let me make my self at home and have my say as well Woodsie 😉@Ryan The main thrust of my point is the 'potential" to make a difference in '18.
If you agree Jake had a good year last year .. and he again has a good year next year ... then there has been no improvement. Same with Kapow, DCE etc. If they all again have good years .. we are still the same.
The BIG difference next year will rely solely on about 3 players .... adding something beyond last year .... Darcy is one of them .... a big year from him does/will make a difference.
By the way mate . This was Darcys contribution to our Final game against our loss to the Panthers in the semis this year and fox sports gave him an overall rating 2 out of 10.Speaking of stats, you realise he almost ran an average of 100 metres per game this season, mate? Darcy is tough and is capable but as the saying goes........Darcy is at a real crossroad in his career. You see the talent and you don't doubt his toughness one bit. What I do question is his lack of discipline and how that hurts the team in games. Make or break season for him I think.
Let me make my self at home and have my say as well Woodsie 😉
There are two ways where our team can make a difference next year
1."All" players to improve from 2017 and perform consistently in 2018
2. Additional signings to fill the void from last years weaknesses
1. I did not say Darcy is shthouseLet you have your say ......
The thread is not yet 3 pages and you have posted 11 times trying to convince the world Darcy is shiithoouse! Why it is that important to you to bag someone relentlessly is worrying.
And in those 11 posts you are yet to even acknowledge the context of the thread as though simple comprehension is beyond you.
This, even after in my original post I clearly stated his form and career have NOT reached the levels hoped for and that '18 would be a career defining year.
But wait ... I know ... reply with another meaningless and childish meme, hey while your at it why not use the opportunity to put shiit on Kelly as well ... 2 memes.
