    Waddell - a pleasant surprise

Waddell was great in 2019 but had a poor 2020 with most of the squad. As others have mentioned, he did well at the dogs and I believe was forward of the year. A good bench option.

    Latu Fainu

I have mentioned before that Latu was on the nose with some of the coaching staff and was stood down from all club commitments early in 2023. Now this could be for a number of reasons including a clash of personalities. I think the club weren't all that upset to see him go. Whether that comes...

    Bull v Waddell

I doubt Schuster plays more than 3 FG games all year..

    Is Jaxson Paulo a starter

96% tackle efficiency in as a 19 year old playing centee against men. He's doing well. He is a weapon in attack too.

    Garricks performance at centre

Respectfully disagree with Burbo at centre. He may have sufficient speed at 2nd row but too slow for centre.

Game Day: Eels v Manly [Round 3, 2024]

    Absolutely disgraceful refereeing today

    Blacktown Workers

On a side note, I liked the move young Hoppa (19) put on for a try. This kid looks good.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly v Roosters [Round 2, 2024]

Great win. We weren't winning any games against the "top teams" in 2021 but I'm confident we have the fitness and grit to win them now.

For those asking about streaming, I understand you now have to pay a subscription to watch via NSWRL TV.

Faulalo was clutching at a wrist late in the trial against the Broncos. Hopefully he isn't injured.

    Post-Game Discussion Manly v Rabbitohs [Round 1, 2024]

Saab's physicality has improved 10 fold over the past 12 months. Was so good to see him bumping players off and making good metres.

    Pre-Game Manly v Rabbitohs [Round 1, 2024]

There's a pic on Instagram of him striding out in the captains run...

    Trial vs Broncos

I thought James Uesele did well in his stint in the middle. 10 hit ups for 120 metres was probably the most effective pig after Sipley.

    Trial V Roosters

I was particularly impressed with Fualalo. Looked classy in attack and contained Billy Smith well. Talau was solid too.

    Jamie Humphreys

Don't get me wrong I think it's ridiculous to assume that Jamie will be a gun hooker. He has played like 20 games in reserve grade at hooker. Let's see how he goes against first graders. By the way the 2 hookers in last year's GF were hardly what you'd call dominant. Walters and Kenny.

Matt Ballin played halfback as a junior before making the switch

Went to school with old school Manly players

Des taught me just before he started coaching first grade. Probably the scariest teacher I ever had.

    Coaching appointments, and vision

The young half you mention was stood down for a few weeks from playing/training in all grades early in 2023 and was encouraged to get his attitude right. Would it make any sense to cut our hard working captain for an untested kid with a questionable attitude? DCE on 600k is also laughable. Any...
