    DCE signing paying off already

So who thinks Myles, Brown, Korasau, Parcell and the almost signed Walker would have signed had it not been for DCE being at the club long term ? Having him signed will also be pivotal in the Trbojevic brothers resigning in 2018 and beyond. His signing was an absolute master stroke. Well done...

Walker to Manly BUT Buhrer to Newcastle

It'll be both. A fit firing Walker is $600k. The other two are worth that combined.

Walker to Manly BUT Buhrer to Newcastle

Yes, Matai will be moved on. Well Matai in his prime was as good as Walker has ever been, but if you give me a young, fit Walker or and ageing Warrior I'll take him Walker anyday. Buhrer - we have a fair bit of depth there. Walker could be anything.

Toovey opens up on Next Career Move - RLW

He is great on television. He was always entertaining on NRL360.

Walker to Manly BUT Buhrer to Newcastle

Walker for Buhrer anyday as we are strong in the back row. Perfect fit as Lyon will retire after 2016.

    Halauafu Lavaka

This kid can play. In the Tafua mould with a killer fend. I recall watching him through 2014 in NYC scored a heap of tries, many of them with work to do.

    Life after Lyon

Killer at 3 no, killer at 6 yes. He can play a couple of years at 5/8.

Who misses out, because Peta is beta

At international level Hiku has completely outplayed two specialists in Inglis at fullback (final), and Widdop (last week). For those detractors they must now realise that we have a seriously talented footballer that simply has to be in our starting team.

Who misses out, because Peta is beta

Well Hiku has to be in the 17.... That is a given. He was outstanding at 6 today in the Kiwi test win. The question is where does he go ? I would give him a start at 5/8. His short kicking game(short in goals too) was spot on and he was dangerous with his running game near the line.

It's all positive ... Is it really the off season ?

Surely it can't be the off season. At this time of the year in the past few years there's usually some drama going on, blow ups, player mutinies or some form of negativity. The jersey has never been worth more with Coco joy our major sponsor and ZTH jumping onboard. The juniors are firing, we...

What this 2016 lot is missing is out and out speed in the backs

snake and Coote would be even these days . Feldtwould be quicker than Tafua O'neill would be second or third behind James Roberts in the NRL and would beat Lyon and Matai if he had either or on his back. Winterstein way quicker than Hiku Morgan quicker than any of our 5/8 options

What this 2016 lot is missing is out and out speed in the backs

    Scott Pethybridge, Michael Oldfield.

What this 2016 lot is missing is out and out speed in the backs

Stewart: still has some pace and a great player but is quicker between the ears than feet these days. Tafua: he's no speedster. Would not be in top 10 for wingers. Matai: lacks genuine speed Lyon: was never noted for his speed, and last year went back a couple of notches Hiku: would be one of...

    Dylan Walker

Think about all the players that were signed over the years after being in strife. Every club is littered with them. Sign Walker we need his speed.

Scott Penn - Proving a lot of people wrong

@ Frogz . Yes he's been in strife over and over again, and like everything else the Penn's have done they'll be judged on their results. If Hoppa can carry out the task then he's entitled to some form of redemption.

Our next signing Will or Walker ?

At 18 Gutherson was toiling in u20's. At 18 Hoppa was dominating in State of Origin, winning GFinals, being the 2nd best on field. Gutherson is now 21 and has done nothing.
  19. B

Our next signing Will or Walker ?

Hoppa would give the dogs much needed variety, ball skills at fullback. Forget about his time at Parra. He was behind a disjointed pack, crap halves. Gutherson just never did it for me.

Our next signing Will or Walker ?

It looks as though the Dogs have all but signed Will Hopoate. It seems Walker is being shopped around. They both have upside, and I can't get over Will's amazing 2011 as an 18 y.old Manly Junior, but at the same time Walker is very good. Both have the potential to play 5/8, centre, fullback but...
