Cleary stays at Tigers

The door to the riff is now wide open for Trent to
"Walk right in, sit right down",

And become....

Gus's assistant.
The only reason why I think Barrett could end up at the Panthers is that Gould said it was ridiculous...which means it will be announced next week @;)

Yes. His explanation of the truth according to Gus on the footy show would astound me if it passed a lie detector.
His jump about answers and body language was anything but convincing.
Griffin on the other hand was rock solid.
Maybe he's just a better liar.
Griffin seems to polarise clubs for whatever reason.
But I don't know that from a clubs point of view, Gus's dictatorial approach is exactly healthy either.

Those wanting TB out are slightly closer to getting their wish.

Trouble is, if we go into the off-season with no coach in 2019 then the club will really be a dope on the ropes.

Be careful what you wish for! No coach = no sponsor = no money = insolvency.
But we have the Penns to save us

Cmon Gus, take twent, you have been telling all that will listen , he's a supercoach, he's yours for the taking...PLEASE.!!

Lottoland not going anywhere soon

LOTTOLAND TO STAY ON WITH MANLY?
Lottoland may not be about to cash out on Manly after all.

Not only will the controversial ‘synthetic lottery’ operation honour its arrangement and see out its existing naming rights deal at Brookvale Oval, it wants to continue beyond 2019.

That’s despite a Federal Government ban that comes into force on January 9.

“Absolutely. We intend seeing out all our sponsorships,” Lottoland’s marketing director Matthew Brinckley told The Repeat Set.

“We’ve had a lot of success since we began here and we intend staying.

“We love Manly and we love our partnership.

“It’s been highly successfully and we will look to extend.”

The impending government ban has forced Lottoland into a change of direction.

Australian punters will no longer be able to wager on the outcome of overseas lotteries, but instead will be offered a number of alternate betting options.

This is what I read into this.

In the article Ivan Cleary states that he WILL remain as Tigpies coach in 2019. But it doesn't say one single thing about 2020 and beyond.

I believe that Ivan will be Penrith coach from 2020 to join Nathan at the club. Gould won't let Nathan go without a big fight and the easiest way to keep him would be to sign his dad as the coach, especially since they have expressed their desire to be together at the same club as coach and player.

As to who actually coaches Penrith in 2019? I don't know, it might be Bennett, it might be someone else, but it won't be Trent Barrett who (unfortunately for us on the Sack Barrett bandwagon), isn't going anywhere in a hurry.

Cleary shows that he is smart enough to see that a return to Penrith would just be more of the same, despite the olive branch. hat's why I'd like him at Manly. He's a smart operator.
I'd like to think Cleary's not only smart enough, he's also got more class than to be lured by Gus into dishonouring his Tigers contract.

Maybe the Tigers gave him an assurance they'll do whatever to get Nathan.

.

Or maybe he deliberately omitted 2020 and beyond to let the Tigs know that he possibly could do what you said. Both Nathan and Ivan are now the Tigs #1 priority.and their price rose.
I think he will stay at the tigs and Nathan will join him there, funds permitting.

Why not the tigers signing Nathan for 2020 onwards?
