Australia gets soundly beaten, especially in the forwards, and drops a... winger! For an untried 18 year old, no less.
We are in big trouble.

Especially if matautai is marking Ryan hall, big trouble

Flogged 30-12, dominated in the forwards, and Sheens' answer is to drop.....a winger. Tupou (who IMO should have been moved to FB when Inglis went off) is out and in comes Mata'utia who has hardly set the world on fire in his 7 NRL games. If he was going to drop Tupou then surely Alex Johnson should have got the nod. He has big match experience (Grand Final win) and as we all saw this year the kid can score tries.

The Kangaroos pack was woeful last Saturday. Woods is no Matt Scott (which makes the decision to pick him as the only specialist prop all the more baffling). Hoffman was next to useless and as stated previously, it was his laziness in defence that saw Lewis Brown score, not the missed tackle by DCE. Thaiday....how he continues to be selected is beyond me. He's barely passable as a second rower, hopeless as a prop. And why pick Farah, a specialist hooker who isn't a back rower OR a half, when Smith is an 80 minute player?

In fact, the only Kangaroos that I would have given a passing grade to last Saturday would have been Mansour (just), Jennings, Cronk and Scam Smith (I'm not counting Inglis or DCE as they were sick and got injured). On the whole, discounting Inglis and DCE, I thought our backs were ok. But as Manly showed this season, its hard for the backs and halves to do anything useful when the forwards are going backwards.

Sheens seems to have gone senile since last years World Cup.

Don't now much about the Poms' backline (with a few exceptions, like Tomkins, Widdop and Hall, all of whom I really rate), but I just can't see the Australian pack matching them in the forwards. I'll be really surprised if we get up.

Ron - Kallum Watkins is the one to watch IMO. Only 23, huge ability and potential, he could be the best centre on the world in a few years. Lightening quick feet and pace, power in abundance, brilliant hands, step and passing game. Only weakness is defence yet that will improve.

As a big England fan (country before club) I really don't know what to make with so many Aussies beaten before kick off. A part of me is loving it yet at the same time there is certainly an aura surrounding the Kangaroos. If we play the 13 in front we'll win, if we play the jersey you'll scrape through, just.

Match in nz at toll is a sell out, not sure on melbourne game.
France have beaten scots 38-22 in borders scotland match attracted 1800. However french have given up four nations spot leaking 16 points in 2nd half.

as well as he played.....a big FU to Ben Roberts who I am going to say cost Samoa a victory.

5 mins to go....got an 'intercept' 20 mtrs from the kiwi's line...and instead of tucking the ball under and doing a settler...does some stupid b/s, loses the ball, knock on, NZ escape!

aaah!

How did Foz's ribs hold up?

Thought he cracked about 9 in that tackle last night.

Notice the burgess love fest hasn't stopped just because Sam had left ch 9 can't helped themselves

Good to at least see Cherry moving freely. But once again his instructions seem to be "You're nothing more than a link between Cronk/Smith and the backs".

Kangaroos down to 16 with Beau Scott gone for the game.

^ The one winger I hope Jorge Taufua is watching is Ryan Hall. That guy's built like Jorge and is an absolute beast. Wingers don't usually do much for me but I would love to see him in a Manly jersey.

Hall killed us at the WCC final at Leeds in 2012, he's good to watch alright.

Love to see him in Maroon & White.

Maybe Tim Sheens is not the guy for the job anymore?
