I've never liked him as a player as he use to be dirty. Plus I don't agree with him boxing whilst under contract with the NRL and for that reason I'm glad he never played for us. (If I was a Sharks fan I would've been filthy.)
However, since he's been a panel member on 100% Footy, I've found a new liking for him in the media. His input as a player is interesting and he's articulate (unlike many other commentators)
What's even better about Gallen though, he's very pro Manly - always talking us up, quite often tips us (like against the Raiders) and favours us in the finals 😀
