Well to answer your first question if you were DCE would you put your body on the line for these guys who are more interested in gang stuff that representing the Manly Sea Eagles. The answer is no way, and you could see the in the way DCE played. He just ran around in circles and palmed off the ball to others.

This fracture is extremely deep, and it’s going to take a lot to get this mob back on the same page.

They are taking no public action because they are currently hoping it will disappear quietly by making no public comment on it. However it has already caught the attention of the NRL integrity unit, so likely the club will be forced to act one way or another.

And sure it's fine to support Manase, the club also said its going to offer ongoing support 'mainly in the area of wellbeing' - but they also said they'd make no further public comment because an appeal is foreshadowed.
