The Dalai Arthur is the best cause just like his namesake, he promises so much.

Des Hasbeen is a reincarnation of a dog.

But for me. I feel like a Toovey or two.

A pointless discussion, but hey perception is a wonderful thing.

The perception is that "coaching" skill is based on winning. Better coaches win more, winning more gives you the chance to win a premiership. Premierships are success.

2V is perceived as successful because Manly made final the last 3 years.
Arthur is perceived successful because the papers print how much players want to "go to war" with him leading them, and he did improve their W/L ratio in 2014.
Des is perceived successful because he won 2 Premierships.

So who is the better coach?

I don't know, and really you can't compare the 3.

Des had prime cattle, 2V inherited relative prime cattle, and Dalai has well past it cattle.

The only thing that matters when discussing Bennet is Premierships.

He has the most, and is glorified as the top dog. By the Bennet scale, Des is easily the top dog here.

2V and Dalia are just another couple of would be contenders.
