You are entitled to your view on how good Ricky is Stevo and all the players that he is throwing big money and cant attract them at the Raiders are entitled to theirsStevo said:Yep no worries
He coached the Sharks for another 2 years not reaching the finals but that is to be expected with zero money on no major sponsor for a lot of that time. Plus several off field dramas.
Then he Coached the Blues for 2 years. losing both series 2-1 although NSW lost game 3 in 2012 due to a dodgy refereeing decision.
Then he took over a club with probably the worst roster they've ever had. Then he cut half the club, signed some new ones and now they sit just out of the 8.
Now he's in charge of a club that has an even worse roster than the one the year before but the difference is this new club has a club captain that they consider a legend that would play reserve grade at most other NRL clubs, a superstar fullback that can't wait to leave the joint for a big pay day, 3-4 old forwards on their swan song and 2 stars in Injured. Edrick Lee who scored half their tries last year is out for the season and josh papali has been injured twice and out for Origin as well.
RICKY Stuart is under the pump and fighting to save his NRL coaching career at the Canberra Raiders.
After collecting the wooden spoon at Parramatta last year, he needed a solid top-eight finish with the Raiders in 2014 to restore his reputation.
Every now and then some NRL teams just don’t turn up, play soft, and get flogged by 50 points. It just happens.
The performance is normally so embarrassing and so humiliating that they bounce back the next week to reinstate some pride.
Not the Canberra Raiders, who have now conceded 108 points in the last two starts against the Warriors and Sea Eagles.
There are no excuses for such pathetic, almost shameful, performances back to back.
It’s easy to point the finger at Stuart. He is the head coach and has to accept full responsibility for the manner in which they turn up every weekend.
