Doing for the love of league and Family

I was at that game in 2004, the Moree Boars v Jamie Lyon ( sorry Wee Waa) must have been 10,000 people there just to see him play.

Sat next to Noel Cleal and Bob Fulton who told me " he's ours", I knew that day it would change Manly's fortunes.

And how right was I ??

So from one country boy ( Moree) to another ( Wee Waa) I salute you young man, you will go down as one of the greatest ever to pull on the Maroon & White!!

Killer is right up there with O'Connor, Gartner, Fulton (as a centre), Branigan.

He demonstrated year after year amazing levels of skill, solid defence, great goalkicking. He at times completely bamboozled quality backline defenders who could not read what he was going to do. He would then DO IT, and score seemingly right behind them. Lets hope his last year retains this mark of quality football right through to the finals' series.

WOW, I'm gutted but knew this day was drawing closer and closer. We have nothing but admiration for Killer and wish him and his family well.

I really hope the club can keep him around with Beaver mentoring new players coming through the ranks.

I hope that some common sense prevails and killer is nominated as one of the immortals as it would be well deserved.

thought he always wanted a couple more years in super league.

My guess is there is an injury which is just not getting any better

A bit in shock. Jamie is Manly.
As been mentioned this guy can't be replaced. He's one of those once in a lifetime players.
Manly need to play with the heart of a Lyon for the rest of the year.
Get to games and see this legend in action while we still can.
