Great player and captain good luck to him definitely one of our best over the last ten years, wonder who will be captain.

Legend, the glue that held the team together.

Who replaces Killer?
Any decent goal-kicking centres on the market?

Not a lot of clubs have the honor of having a Killer type player run around for them, and for so long. A gentleman and at his peak one of the best ever centres the game has seen.

I consider myself lucky to have had him running around for Manly.

It's been a privilege, and he will be missed.

Thank you Jamie, let's see him out a winner!

Have a granny nap and the world implodes.

First reaction was a feeling of loss and sadness. But that was soon replaced by a sense of gratitude to have been able to watch such a remarkable footballer.

Now I am strangely happy that we have been given the opportunity to give this legend the send off he so richly deserves.

Starting with a standing ovation on Saturday, that goes for 10 mins.

Just heard his interview on the radio with Jamie saying how proud he and his family are to be associated with such a great club and how he's looking forward to being associated with the club going forward.

A true Sea Eagles legend. Unselfish with the timing of his announcement, and you just know if we were still struggling for players for next year I reckon he'd be going around again.

An old saying, Jamie's an ornament to the club and to the game.

And to quote an old song while at it, as supporters, we won't know what we've got til it's gone.

I'm shocked. A Manly legend retiring. All the best to Jamie. Hope the Manly boys can give you just a good a send off as Beaver had.

Typical Killer no fuss and doing it on his terms. Extra special as born in my home town ok he lived in Wee Waa but born in Narrabri ... sporting capital of NSW (at least)

^ His kids will be playing for Manly quicker than you can say, "F*ck! I'm even older than I thought I was when Killer retired!"
