I never get any ads for anything outside of things that I have recently searched for as of late it's stuff from some online stores in the netherlands for electronics.

But looking at a search on Google it appears Russian bride and singles ads through adsense are actually all a result of malware on your computer.

I occassionally see webhosting ads when i search for that, and have been getting lots for hotels which makes sense as i have been searching and booking my work travel over the past few weeks

Mates of mine sponsored a roosters player using the fictitious company name TRI. It stood for "the rineberger institute" named after the easts player whose only 1st grade game was their big win in the 74 grand final. They laughed their heads off every time it came up on the big screen. An expensive "in joke" but admirable nonetheless. TRI is defined in the Rugby League Dictionary as something like: a shady organization responsible for most of the ills in rugby league.

Does that mean you send data as to who is logged in to google so they can match the user from different logins?

How else would google know someone from a multinational is the same person?

Problems is you need to have someone in the right place at Arnotts.

I know someone close but the wrong area.

No it means Google track you in a variety of ways. Especially if you use chrome. hence why you can do one thing on your iPhone for instance then open up google maps on your computer and you have a shared history.

Login to your gmail at work? they should be able to assume you are the same person, login to your work email from home? they should be able to tell via cookies etc you are likely the same person.

gone are the days that the IP address was the only way that big companies tracked you. Google have an unbelievable reach and understanding of who you are

I send no data to google besides what their ad script gathers. However their ad script does not allow for any personal identifiable information to be sent to them over the ad scripts, in fact doing so breaches their terms of service and they will send out a warning or ban me in that event.

@Fluffy @Loobs I have double checked and then toggled the settings for adsense on this site. Dating and Sexual ads (references to sex and sexuality as well as sexual health ads) were all blocked but I unblocked and re-blocked again just in case

It has been normal this week but I did notice them last week and knowing the basis thought it was weird.

Either that or they interperet searching for tools and equipment as something else
