So what your saying @Terry Zarsoff is that Zorba hasn't leaked the news of a formal review. That's a shame because that's exactly what the club needs right now. Arguably, there is no way forward for this club without one.

There have been hints of the review. All clubs do one at the end of a season.

Peterides was merely voicing his own opinion, throwing off-field people under the bus and dissing certain players (who actually try every week) along the way. You could be excused for thinking he skims these pages to come up with a few of his themes.

Of course he barely touched upon the biggest problem the club faces, the woeful impact of his in-laws upon the operation.

Heard some talk about Dean Pay as an assistant. He would certainly put a bit of steel into our forwards/defence.

Please not use the words Forward and defense in the same sentence, our players would have no idea what your on about.

We need more than a standard end-of-season review. Typically, a standard review will focus primarily on player/team/coaching staff performances and will brush over club management and admin. This is not enough for us this year. Manly needs an independent review of the club's football operations, in addition to its internal end-of-season review.

Interestingly we only have one assistant in the box with Des while others have 4 coaches in boxes. There is a football club department cap , however If penn and Des doesn’t boost assistant coaches we won’t improve.

How different is the football club department cap to the ones we buy?

he seems very michael Clarke in the team environment , complete with his katich and hastings moment, which is ok if your scoring hundreds but his 2 second inning tons per year against Zimbabwe, batting at 6 is getting old

Suspect Dessie is working on a shoe string budget….or trying to do the work of others so he can be paid bigger $. I suspect a combination of both.
Can’t imagine chad and Mona’s are paid anything like other assistants at other clubs.

It is my understanding that Mona’s is on $100k.

At the end of the day we just aren’t good enough but it is expected when you pay 3 big salaries which 1 is lucky to complete a full season..another runs around like a headless chook and the other is just plain out overpaid..doesn’t leave a whole lot in the kitty which means no room for any quality players to be recruited so you have to work and develop your youth and other teams garbage which worked for bellemy but not des..look at our roster

All reserve graders realistically..combine that with **** owners outdated des and don..injuries and not getting a return on ur big 3 puts us in the predicament we are in right now

To be fair ( Rorters & Drizzle aside who seem to have limitless $$$) most sides are made up of 2-3 very good players , 6-8 good first graders and then those that make up the 30.

The ones you’ve listed above are mostly in that latter category.

As someone pertinently pointed out, holding onto Des for another year, there's no overlapping of contracts or early payouts for Penn - so despite what may be best for the club (fresh start), Penn's thinking with his wallet again - which may cost us more players, and early releases being sought.

Exactly my point those players need to develop and des I don’t think has that ability to make them better players..those players should be the bulk of Blacktown developing their game to push for top grade spots weekly

Agree but unfortunately our coach has a habit of not trying anything different or giving the young guns a crack.

Agree. The Blacktown thing and the boys from the west entity doesn't seem to work for Manly.
We need to go back to being Manly. A champion club.

Sticky said tonight on 100% Footy that his two assistant coaches (McFadden and White) are moving on at the end of 2022 and he will be looking for replacements.

This suggests 1) Des won't be the only coach looking for assistants for 2023 and 2) Monas or Chad could end up at the Raiders...
